BRIAN CROMER
DIRECTOR
Brian Cromer became the Brotherhood’s director in August 2016 and made an immediate impression. He’s a positive force within the chorus, challenging members to sing properly, with precision and artistry. Under his direction, the Brotherhood of Harmony was thrilled to capture the Most Improved Chorus award at the Illinois District convention in 2017 and has continued to make marked improvements in their musicianship.

A New Jersey native, Brian moved to Chicago after receiving his degree in vocal music education from Rowan University in 2009 and has worked as an elementary and middle school music and choir teacher since. Brian also directs the music program at St. John's Episcopal Church in Naperville where he puts
to use his directing, singing, and piano skills and is pursuing his Master's in Choral Conducting at Messiah University.

His emphasis on fun and fellowship makes rehearsals a joy – something to look forward to every week

Brian, his wife Jess, and their two daughters Sadie and Stevie got tired of big city living and relocated to the suburbs of southwest Chicagoland where Brian arranges custom charts for the Brotherhood of Harmony in his spare time.
